Smoking has been prohibited in indoor public places since 2000, but until recently, no penalties were issued for violations of the law.		2000年から、喫煙は、屋内公共空間において禁止されている。しかし、最近までは、違反者に対しても罰則が科せられることはなかった。
On Friday 7th January 2005, The Minister of Transport and Communications signed a directive prohibiting smoking in offices and reception rooms of the ministry and public places, including stations, airports, ports and on public transport.		2005年1月7日（金曜日）に、運輸通信大臣が、同省のオフィスと応接室、および駅、空港、港、公共交通機関を含む公共の場所での喫煙を禁止する命令に署名した。
From this time, anyone not complying with the regulations will face fines.		今後は、法を守らない者は罰金を科せられることとなる。
