As of June 2004, smoking is prohibited in places where food/and or drink is served (including restaurants, cafes, clubs and pubs).		2004年6月の時点で、喫煙は、食べ物あるいは飲み物を提供する場所において禁止されている。これらの場所には、レストラン、カフェ、クラブ、パブなどが含まれる。
Prior to this hospitality workers were the only group of workers in Norway not to have been covered by legislation.		これより以前は、飲食業の従業員は、ノルウェーにおいて受動喫煙から保護されていない唯一の職種の労働者であった。
Exemptions are allowed, however, to set up special staff rooms intended for smoking.		しかしながら、この法の適用は除外される場合があり、従業員のための喫煙室の設置が認められている。
