On 29th March 2004 smoking was prohibited in all workplaces, including bars and restaurants.		2004年3月29日から、バー、レストランを含むすべての職場において喫煙が禁止された。
Prisons, nursing homes and psychiatric hospitals are exempt from legislation.		刑務所、老人ホーム、精神病院は、この法律の適用を除外される。
However, all employers (even those who are exempt) are still free to enforce the legislation if they wish to.		しかし、すべての雇用主（適用を除外されている施設の雇用主であっても）は、それを望む場合には、その施設を禁煙とすることができる。
