Smoking is prohibited in primary schools, nurseries, in buildings used for leisure activities by children, in cinemas, and in all areas of public and private institutions that are accessible to the public.		喫煙は、小学校、託児所、子供が余暇活動に使用する建物、映画館、および一般の市民が立ち入る可能性のあるすべての公共および民間の施設（訳注1）で禁止される。
Smoking is allowed only in places where it will not inconvenience non-smokers.		喫煙は、非喫煙者に迷惑をかける可能性のない場所においてのみ許される。
Restaurants and places of entertainment are required to reserve a certain number of tables for non-smokers.		レストランおよび娯楽施設においては、一定の数のテーブルを非喫煙者のために確保することが必要である（訳注2）。

The Icelandic parliament approved a bill in June 2006 prohibiting smoking in bars, restaurants and nightclubs.		2006年6月に、アイスランド議会は、バー、レストラン、およびナイトクラブでの喫煙を禁止する法案を承認した。
The law is due to come into force on 1 July 2007.		この法は、2007年7月1日に施行される予定である。
